Are you looking to enrich a healthy relationship, revitalize a tired one, or rescue one gone awry? Do you desire to grow closer to God, and to further incorporate Him and His teachings into your dating, premarital, marriage, or family relationship? We all want a lifetime of love, connection, belonging, support, and faith—but sometimes we need a little help. As your therapist, I will create a safe haven where you can learn to develop stronger, more secure relationships not only between partners, but also between you and God.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
“The purposes of a man’s heart are deep waters, but a man of wisdom and understanding draws it out.”– Proverbs 20:5
My goal is to create a safe haven and secure base so you can learn the necessary tools and exercises to help you overcome your current circumstances and successfully navigate future challenges. I want you to gain the emotional and relational skills needed to make your life and relationships the best they can possibly be. I’m committed to doing everything in my power to help you in your relationships, and I expect the same from you as we do the work together, relying on God’s help and strength.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
“The Lord is my refuge, my safe haven, my rock.”– Psalm 91:1
I offer a safe place where you can freely share the concerns on your mind and heart. I’ll shoot straight with you and hold you accountable, but we’ll also laugh and have fun. Counseling is serious work, and needs to be balanced with a sense of humor. I’m professional, yet relaxed and easy going. I’m flexible, creative, and an out-of-the-box thinker who cuts straight to the heart of the matter. I’ll do my best to set you at ease and help you feel comfortable through this challenging, yet rewarding process.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
“We love because he first loved us.” – 1 John 4:19
My understanding of fierce grace and redemptive, healing love has been shaped by my faith, trust, and confidence in God’s Word and the ways in which He has guided me through my own life challenges to help me discover joy in hardship. Through my relationship with God, I have gained deeper insights into life, love, and relationships.
My journey of faith has helped me better understand how the atonement of Jesus relates to the undoing of both fear and shame. Fear and shame are what we learned here since the Fall. God’s love heals and opens our eyes to help us see one another as God sees us—in our innocence, not our guilt. He is able to move us from fear and shame to love and acceptance as Christ accepts us.
